Bilaspur: A racket of getting patients treated by making fake prescriptions has been busted in AIIMS Bilaspur. The security personnel of AIIMS have caught a person with 19 fake prescriptions. First the AIIMS employees found a fake prescription from a patient at the OPD counter. On suspecting the making of fake prescriptions, the security personnel were instructed to be careful. After this, one day a person was seen with prescriptions in the AIIMS premises. When the security personnel investigated, it was found to be fake.
These days prescriptions are being made offline in AIIMS due to the software not working. Taking advantage of this, the person was trying to get patients treated in the OPD by making fake prescriptions. But AIIMS was also putting numbers on the offline prescriptions, which were not there on the fake prescriptions. Due to this, the matter of making fake prescriptions came to light. A case has been registered in Sadar police station on the complaint of the security in-charge of AIIMS. The police is investigating what benefit the person was taking by making fake prescriptions.
The accused works in a medical store outside AIIMS. In the complaint, AIIMS security in-charge and assistant professor Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Bhupendra Yadav has said that on February 1, a fake slip was caught at the OPD counter. On the evening of February 3, the security personnel caught a person with 19 slips. When he was called to the office, all the slips were found to be fake.
The person told his name as Manish and said that he works in a medical store near AIIMS. He told that he made the fake slips himself. He accepted his mistake and started apologizing. After this, the owner of that medical store also came to the office on Wednesday. He also admitted that the person caught with the slips works in his medical store. A case of fraud was registered in the matter. Sadar police station is investigating the matter. If evidence is found against the accused, he will be arrested.
