Recruitment of pre-primary teachers will soon begin in Himachal Pradesh for 6,297 posts. As soon as the Supreme Court lifted the ban on outsourced recruitment, the education department has started the process of restarting the recruitment process. The posts of those doing NTT will be filled through the State Electronics Corporation. This recruitment process has been going around in files since the time of the previous government.

Last year, the Congress government had started the recruitment, but the matter was put on hold due to the decision of the Himachal High Court to ban outsourced recruitment. Now the Supreme Court has stayed the decision of the High Court. Education Minister Rohit Thakur has instructed the departmental secretary to start the recruitment. The government has given the designation of Early Childhood Care and Education Instructor to the teachers to be recruited in schools with nursery and KG classes. Himachalis who have secured 50 percent marks in class XII and are aged between 21 and 45 years will be eligible for recruitment. For this, it will be mandatory to have a two-year diploma or B.Ed in nursery.

Diploma in Nursery Teacher Education, Pre-School Education, Early Childhood Education Program (minimum two years) or B.Ed (Nursery) from a recognized institute. There will be five percent relaxation in qualifying marks for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates. Candidates who have passed 12th class from institutions outside Himachal Pradesh will be required to be genuine Himachali.

Remuneration will be 10 thousand, cannot be removed without government permission

School-wise vacancies will be determined by the Director of Primary Education. Monthly remuneration of 10 thousand has been fixed including taxes and service provider fee. This includes agency charges, GST, other expenses. In each district, the trainers will work under the supervision of the most senior teacher of the school while being under the overall control of the Deputy Director of Primary Education. No trainer can be released from demobilization without the approval of the government. Transfers can be done in consultation with the Director of Primary Education due to enrollment difference or administrative reasons.
