Shimla: Amidst the scorching heat, heavy rain was recorded in many districts of Himachal Pradesh. This has provided some relief to people from the heat. Heavy rain and light hailstorm along with strong wind were recorded in the capital Shimla.
According to the information, it rained in Kangra, Mandi, Bilaspur districts and adjoining areas on Thursday morning. There are light clouds in Sirmair, Una and Hamirpur districts also.
Meteorological Center Shimla has predicted rain in many parts of the state today. However, the weather is expected to remain clear in all areas of the state from May 24 to 29. Due to this the temperature is likely to rise further.
Yellow alert of heat wave has been issued in the plains and low altitude areas from 24 to 27 May. Heat wave prevailed in Una and Bilaspur on Wednesday.

Minimum temperature in Shimla 17.4, Sundernagar 20.3, Bhuntar 10.4, Dharamshala 24.1, Una 22.3, Keylong 7.8, Palampur 19.0, Solan 18.0, Manali 15.2, Mandi 21.4, Bilaspur 23.4, Hamirpur. 22.8, Chamba 19.5 , Dalhaji 18.7, Kufri 6.8, Narkanda 13.9, Bharmair 24.8, Barthin 22.8, Kasaili 29.0, Dehragopipur 26.0, Tabo 15.2, Mashobra 16.9, Sainj 19.2 and 18.8 degree Celsius was recorded in Bajaira.
