Kullu district administration has changed the rules for the movement of vehicles on Rohtang Pass for the convenience of tourists. Now the pass will remain open on all days of the week including Tuesday till June 30. SDM Manali Raman Kumar Sharma conducted a joint inspection with police and BRO officials.
During this, it was found that the movement of vehicles from Rohtang Pass towards Lahaul can be made smooth. The district administration has issued new orders under Section 115 of the Motor Vehicles Act. According to this, tourists going from Manali to Rohtang can return from Atal Tunnel Rohtang or go to Lahaul.
The movement of all types of vehicles for Rohtang Pass will be completely closed between 2 pm to 6 pm from Monday to Friday. Tourism businessmen believe that opening of Rohtang Pass on Tuesday during the tourist season will be convenient for tourists.
