Royal apple reach Himachal’s mandis, sold at Rs 2800 per box

Royal apple has entered the Bhattakufar fruit market of Himachal. On Saturday, about 175 boxes of Royal apple were brought to the Bhattakufar market from Churag valley. 10 boxes of Royal apple packed in universal cartons were sold at the rate of Rs 2800 per box.  The gardeners got the price of Rs 140 per.

Royal apple has entered the Bhattakufar fruit market of Himachal. On Saturday, about 175 boxes of Royal apple were brought to the Bhattakufar market from Churag valley. 10 boxes of Royal apple packed in universal cartons were sold at the rate of Rs 2800 per box.  The gardeners got the price of Rs 140 per kg.

The gardeners are happy to get good prices at the beginning of the season itself. In the Bhattakufar market, 56 boxes of apples were sold at Rs 2100 per box and 109 boxes at Rs 2200. It is expected that this time good prices will be received in the entire season, because this time the apple crop in the state is less.

Royal Apple variety is called the king of apples. Right now the Royal apple is ready only in Churag Valley. After one and a half to two weeks, Royal apple will also be ready in the lower areas of Kotgarh, Kumarsain, Jubbal, and Theog. At the same time, Spur variety of apple has been coming to the market for two weeks.

So far, about 55 thousand boxes of apples have been sent to the markets of other states outside the state. The apple season is gradually gaining momentum. Right now apples have ripened only in areas with an altitude of up to 5000 feet above sea level. During the next 15 days, apples will come to the markets from areas with an altitude of up to 5500 feet. Apples from areas with an altitude of more than 5500 feet will start coming to the markets after August 15.
