Una: Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said that the BJP does not want the women of the state to get Rs 1500 per month under the Indira Gandhi Pyari Bahina Samman Nidhi scheme for the women of the state.
He said there is a hearing in the Election Commission on Wednesday and if the Election Commission grants permission, then two months’ amount will be deposited in the accounts of women in the next 48 hours.
He further said that even if permission is not granted, two months amount will be deposited in lump sum in the accounts of women as soon as the code of conduct ends.
The state government has earmarked a budget of Rs 800 crore for this scheme, Sukhu said.
While addressing election meetings in Gagret and Kutlehad of Una district on Tuesday, the Chief Minister said that this election is not for choosing the Chief Minister, but this election is between honest and dishonest people.
He also attacked the MLAs who left the Congress and joined the BJP and said that this is the right time to teach a lesson to those who have left the hand and joined the lotus.
He also appealed to the people “those who are not with the hand can never be with the lotus either. Therefore, teach these people a lesson by voting in favour of Congress on June 1.”
He also fiercely attacked the BJP candidate from Gagret assembly constituency.
