The Sanjauli Masjid case in Himachal Pradesh is once again heating up. The Devbhoomi Sangharsh Samiti has claimed that the entire Sanjauli mosque is illegal and built on government land.
On behalf of the Devbhoomi Sangharsh Samiti, the local party’s lawyer Jagatpal has expressed the possibility of tampering with the revenue records. He said that in the revenue records and jamabandi till now, the ownership of the land is with the Himachal government. In such a situation, the Waqf Board asking for time to present the revenue records raises suspicion.
At the same time, Jagatpal has accused the Municipal Corporation Commissioner’s court of disobeying the order of the High Court. Advocate Jagatpal has also talked about going to the High Court on the matter due to the lack of a quick decision on the matter.
At the same time, the provincial secretary of the Devbhoomi Sangharsh Samiti, Vijendra Pal Singh, said that the Devbhoomi movement regarding the Sanjauli mosque was not violent. An FIR has also been registered against some people in the case. He said that the Devbhoomi Sangharsh Samiti is also waiting for the court’s decision.
Vijendra Pal In various states like Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, orders are given to immediately demolish illegal constructions made on government land, but in Himachal Pradesh, documents prove that the mosque has been built illegally on government land. Therefore, this illegal construction should be removed as soon as possible. Vijendra Pal said that the Devbhoomi Sangharsh Samiti will decide its future course of action after the court’s decision on March 15.
