Shimla, July 21: A landslide occurred on Monday morning on the Totu road from Shimla to Kunihar road in Solan. The road was completely blocked due to this incident. Hundreds of vehicles were stuck on both sides of the road. Due to this, people going to the office and school had to face problems.
It is a matter of relief that there were no casualties in this incident. The administration took immediate action and sent a JCB machine to the spot. The work of removing the debris is going on. However, due to continuous rain, debris is still falling from the hill, causing difficulty in opening the road.
The local administration is trying to restore traffic as soon as possible. Travelers have been advised to check the situation before traveling on this route.
Road closed for vehicular movement
At Sanjauli in Shimla, the road has been closed for vehicular movement due to a landslide. Here, too, a large number of trees have fallen on the road. However, the administration has started working on restoring the road for vehicular movement, and in some time, the road in Sanjauli will be restored for vehicular movement.
A large part of the hill collapsed
Apart from this, a big landslide has also occurred near Garu on the Vaknaghat Mamlig road. A large part of the hill has cracked here. Due to which the road has been completely closed for vehicular movement.
