Shimla Police busted Heroin smuggling gang, 3 smugglers arrested

The accused were arrested near ISBT Shimla. Police have recovered 41.810 grams of chitta (heroin) from the accused.

Shimla: Police have busted another Chitta smuggling gang in Shimla. Police arrested the gang leader 50-year-old Balbir Singh and his two associates 32-year-old Akhilesh Mehta and Sabin Mehta, all three residents of Nankhari.

The accused were arrested near ISBT Shimla. Police have recovered 41.810 grams of chitta (heroin) from the accused. These three smugglers were on the radar of the police and were active in the smuggling business in the Upper Nankhari area of ​​​​Shimla. According to the police, the gang leader Balbir Singh had already been arrested in the case of chitta smuggling. Balbir and his associates were running a smuggling network in various parts of Shimla district by supplying drugs on a small scale.

After getting information about these smugglers, the police made a precise plan and arrested them by laying a trap in the ISBT area. SP Shimla Sanjeev Gandhi said that a case has been registered against the accused under the NDPS Act and an investigation is underway. The kingpin Balbir had reactivated this gang. Shimla police had also busted the Shahi Mahatma and Radhe gangs.
