Shimla : In Himachal Pradesh, heat has troubled people due to three days of scorching heat and forest fire. Thursday (16th may) was the hottest day of the season in the state. The maximum temperature of Shimla reached 27.6 and Una reached 41.8 degrees Celsius.
According to the Meteorological Department, Thursday was the hottest day of this season in Shimla. The highest maximum temperature recorded in Shimla was 32.4 degrees Celsius in 2010. The highest temperature of Shimla was recorded at 28.8 degrees Celsius on May 22, 2023 and 30.5 degrees Celsius in 2022.
According to the Meteorological Department, western disturbance is once again becoming active in the state from May 17. However, it will not have much effect. On May 17, yellow alert has been issued for storm and lightning in Chamba, Kangra, Mandi and Kullu. There is a possibility of rain in some areas till May 19.
Chintpurni forests are burning from last five days
The forests of Dhar area of Chintpurni have been burning from last five days. Thousands of trees have been burnt and wild animals have been killed in these fire incidents.
