Shimla: A case of kidnapping a minor girl from Nalagarh in Solan district of Himachal Pradesh on the pretext of marriage has come to light. A youth named Vikrant kidnapped the girl on January 11 by luring her with marriage. The victim is a resident of Rohru in Shimla district, whose family is currently living in Nalagarh.
Father complained to the police
The victim’s father is employed in TVS company and lives in Nalagarh with his family. On receiving the information, the father lodged a complaint at the Rohru police station. The police took immediate action and registered a zero FIR under section 137 (2) of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO).
Nalagarh police engaged in search
The incident took place in the jurisdiction of Nalagarh, so the Rohru police has transferred the FIR of the case to the Nalagarh police station. The Nalagarh police is engaged in searching for the accused youth. The police are investigating to recover the minor girl and arrest the accused.
