Shimla: Himachal Pradesh’s women’s Kabaddi team has created history by winning the gold medal in the national championship for the third consecutive time. The team achieved this feat by performing brilliantly under the captaincy of Shillai’s daughter Pushpa Rana. The team has completed a hat-trick of its victories.
Beats Rajasthan by a big margin
The team has maintained its dominance by winning the 36th national competition in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, the 37th in Goa and now the 38th national competition in Haridwar, Uttarakhand. In the semi-final of the tournament, Himachal defeated Rajasthan by a big margin of 38-20. In the other semi-final, Haryana defeated Maharashtra by 47-24.
In the final match, the teams of Himachal and Haryana faced each other, in which the Himachal team won. The performance of the team led by Pushpa Rana was excellent throughout the tournament. This victory has proved to be a new chapter in the history of Kabaddi in Himachal Pradesh. This third consecutive victory has established the state as a strong center in the field of women’s Kabaddi.
