Chhadi Yatra of Mata Ambika and Dattatreya Swami was flagged off from Nirmand on Tuesday.

Nirmand, July 8: Before the Shrikhand Mahadev Yatra starting in Himachal Pradesh, Chhadi Yatra of Mata Ambika and Dattatreya Swami was flagged off from Nirmand on Tuesday. SDM Nirmand Manmohan Singh flagged off the Yatra after performing Puja. About 150 devotees, including sadhus of Juna Akhara, participated in it.

The entire Nirmand area echoed with the chants of Har Har Mahadev and the atmosphere became devotional.

On July 10, on Guru Purnima, Bholenath will be seen in Shrikhand

The Chhadi Yatra will reach Shrikhand peak on July 10 on Guru Purnima and will have darshan of Lord Bholenath and then return. The Yatra will reach Nirmand Akhara again on July 14. On this occasion, Bhandara and special worship programs will also be organised.

Chhadi Yatra Committee President Tekeshwar Sharma said that saints and mahatmas from all over the country are participating in this holy journey.

Registration is mandatory for the Shrikhand Mahadev Yatra

Srikhand Mahadev Yatra will run from July 10 to July 23. This time, online registration and fitness test have been made mandatory to participate in the yatra. No traveller will be allowed to travel without registration.

One of the most difficult religious journeys of North India

This journey is counted among the most difficult journeys of North India. To reach a height of 18,570 feet, devotees have to travel 32 kilometers on foot, which includes glaciers, narrow paths, fast flowing streams and high mountains.

Belief of devotees: Shiva resides here

Devotees believe that Lord Shiva resides on the peak of Shrikhand. Here devotees pray for the fulfillment of their wishes by circumambulating the 72 feet high Shivling rock.
