Shimla, May 12: The weather will be bad in many parts of Himachal today. A warning has been issued for lightning and storms with a speed of 30 to 40 kilometres per hour, along with light rain in seven districts of the state.
According to the Meteorological Department, there are chances of rain in many areas of Una, Chamba, Bilaspur, Hamirpur, Kangra, Kinnaur and Lahaul Spiti. The weather is forecast to be completely clear in other districts. According to the Meteorological Department, the weather in the state will be completely clear from tomorrow.
The sun will shine from tomorrow till 15 May
The weather in the state will remain completely clear till May 15. This will cause a slight rise in the temperature, which is currently below normal. The maximum temperature of Manali is 22.6 degrees Celsius, 2.6 degrees below normal.
The temperature of Dharamsala is 28.0 degrees, 2.5 degrees below normal; Kalpa is 18.1 degrees after 2.2 degrees below normal; the maximum temperature of Nahan is 32.2 degrees Celsius, after a drop of 0.9 degrees from normal.
29 per cent more rain than normal in May
It has been raining in the state for the past one and a half weeks. The people of the state have got relief from the heat. From 1 to 11 May, the state has received 29 per cent more rain than normal. During this period, the normal rainfall is 24.5 mm, but this time, 31.7 mm of rain has occurred.
Sirmaur receives 304 per cent more rain than normal
Sirmaur district has received 304 percent more rain than normal. The district receives a normal rainfall of 16.2 mm between 1 and 11 May, but this time 65.5 mm of rain has fallen.
Solan received 269 per cent more rainfall than normal
Solan has received 269 percent more rain than normal. The district receives a normal rainfall of 18.2 mm in the first 12 days of May. This time, 67.2 mm of rain has fallen.
In Hamirpur district, this time 47 mm of rain has fallen as against the normal rainfall of 13.9 mm, which is 238 percent more than normal. In the three districts of Kinnaur, Kullu and Lahaul Spiti, rainfall has been less than normal.
