Shimla: Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said that the state government has decided to upgrade the infrastructure of the Deotsidh Baba Balak Nath temple in the Hamirpur district. He said that this temple is famous as an ancient holy place, and its upgrade will give a boost to religious tourism in the area. He said that the state government has decided to install a ropeway in the temple to reduce congestion in the area and ensure the seamless and safe movement of devotees. He said that this ropeway, to be installed in an area of 0.52 km, will be constructed for Rs 65 crore.
This ropeway will connect the temple to the taxi parking. He said that this temple is situated on top of the hill, and at present, a huge crowd gathers here on Navratri and other important holy occasions, due to which lakhs of devotees have to face inconvenience. The construction of the ropeway will reduce this problem and help the devotees.
He said that Baba Balak Nath Temple is an important pilgrimage site in Hamirpur district, which attracts thousands of devotees from North India. This temple is not only famous as a spiritual center but is also a unique example of the culture and natural beauty of the state.
The peaceful atmosphere here, combined with religious enthusiasm, makes this temple a favourite destination for tourists and pilgrims. The Chief Minister said that the construction of the ropeway will further increase the number of devotees visiting Baba Balak Nath Temple.
At present, there is a single road to reach the temple from the taxi parking, but with the construction of the ropeway, devotees will get an alternative route to travel, and this journey will be unforgettable for them. This project of the state government will create employment and self-employment opportunities for the local people as well as strengthen the economy of the area.
