Temperature in 14 cities of Himachal drops below zero

Due to severe cold, people are not able to go out of their homes in the morning and evening.

Shimla: There is severe cold in the plains of Himachal Pradesh as well as in the remote areas. Due to the increasing cold in Churah of Chamba, water pipes have started freezing. Due to this, water is not coming to people’s homes. Flowing water is freezing in the high-altitude areas of Lahaul Spiti.

The situation is such that the mercury of 14 cities has gone into minus. The minimum temperature of Sundarnagar in Mandi is -0.2, Bhuntar -0.1, Kalpa -4.1, Una -0.1, Hamirpur -0.4, Kukumsari -7.8, Narkanda -0.2, Bharmour -0.1, Rekongpeo -0.6, Seobag -1.4, Barthin -0.9, Samdo’s temperature has fallen to -3.7 degrees.

Due to severe cold, people are not able to go out of their homes in the morning and evening. However, the weather is becoming pleasant due to good sunshine during the day. Due to this, tourists arriving at Himachal’s tourist places from all over the country are enjoying the pleasant weather.

According to the Meteorological Department, the weather will remain clear in the state till December 19. This will give relief to people from cold during the day. But the plains will remain cold for a few days in the morning and evening.

Meteorological Center Shimla Director Kuldeep Shrivastava said that winds are blowing from the high mountains towards the plains. Due to this, the plains are experiencing more cold than the mountains.
