Shimla: After snowfall on the high peaks of Himachal Pradesh, good sunshine has come out. This has made the weather pleasant in the mountains. People have also got relief from the cold wave. During the last 24 hours, the temperature has also started rising slightly. On Tuesday morning, the mercury of 14 cities was in minus. Today morning, the temperature of only 6 cities remained in minus.
The Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert of fog in 3 districts Shimla, Kinnaur and Kullu today and tomorrow. The flowing water on the roads and paths may freeze. This will increase slipperiness on the roads. In view of this, people have been advised to drive carefully.
Similarly, dense fog will trouble people till noon at some places in Mandi and Bilaspur districts. Due to this, visibility can be less than 50 meters, especially in the morning.
If IMD is to be believed, the weather will remain completely clear in the state for the next 4 days. There is no possibility of rain and snowfall. This will lead to a rise in temperature. On Tuesday, the average minimum temperature of the state fell 4.4 degrees below normal. At many places, it went down to minus 12 degrees.
Of course, there was light snowfall on the high mountains on 8 and 9 December. But there is no complete relief from drought yet. Because there has been no rain in most parts of the state. In the post-monsoon season in the state, i.e. from 1 October to 10 December, there has been 96 percent less rainfall than normal. During this period, the normal rainfall is 50.4 mm, but this time only 2.1 mm of rain has fallen.
