Shimla: The website of the Himachal Pradesh School Education Board in Dharamshala has crashed for the last four days due to a server down. In such a situation, all the updates from the education board, which is responsible for the examinations of lakhs of candidates, have completely stopped. Not only this, after two days, the examinations of thousands of TET candidates in JBT-Shastri, Non-Medical, and LT are to be held on June 22nd and 23rd, but thousands of candidates are disappointed in trying to download the admit card from the board website.
The server of the board’s website is down since the fire broke out in the forests of Shaheed Smarak in Dharamshala on Saturday. In such a situation, the education board is now sending roll numbers to the TET candidates by sending SMS to their mobile numbers. The State School Education Board is to conduct the examinations for JBT, Shastri, non-medical, and LT on June 22nd and 23rd.
Under this, the morning session of JBT will be held on June 22 from 10 to 12:30, in which seven thousand 787 candidates will appear for the examination in 59 centers. The Shastri exam will be held in the evening session from 2 to 4:30 pm, and 1539 candidates will appear for the exam in 49 centers. Also, on June 23, 8339 students will appear for the non-medical exam in 63 centers from 10 to 12:30 pm, while 3442 candidates will appear for the language teacher LT exam in the evening session from 2 to 4:30 pm in 45 examination centers.
The roll number and exam center information will be sent to the candidates through SMS on their mobile number as per their online application as of Thursday. Not only this, but a link will also be sent to the mobile number, through which they can download their admit card.
Candidates will also be able to bring a passport-size photo, which has been uploaded online, and Aadhar or any photo ID proof along with their admit card.
School Education Board Secretary Dr. Major Vishal Sharma said that the server of the board’s website is down. In such a situation, the roll numbers are being sent to the candidates through a link in their mobile numbers. He informed me that the work of repairing the website is also going on in full swing, and as soon as the technical problem is fixed, smooth services will be available on the website again.
