Today on by-election buzz stops in Himachal

Outside leaders will have to leave the state by 5 p.m., and liquor shops will remain closed.

Shimla: Today In Himachal Pradesh is the last day of the election campaign in all three seats in the state. The noise of the election campaign will stop after 5 p.m. After this, until tomorrow evening, leaders and supporters will be able to campaign one-to-one or together in less than five numbers.

In the by-elections being held on three assembly seats in Himachal Pradesh, the prestige of Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu is at stake. Especially, the victory or defeat of Congress in the Dehra assembly seat is important for CM Sukhu in many ways because Congress has fielded the Chief Minister’s wife, Kamlesh Thakur, from Dehra.

To win this seat, the Chief Minister, along with Congress leaders, have put a lot of strength into the campaign. At the same time, the Bharatiya Janata Party is also trying its best to save its stronghold in Dehra. Along with Dehra, the assembly seat of the Chief Minister’s home district, Hamirpur, has also become a question of prestige for Chief Minister Sukhu. In the Lok Sabha elections, the ruling Congress had to face a crushing defeat by four to zero. But in the by-election, the Congress seems confident of victory.

On the other hand, on the Nalagarh seat, the prestige of the Holy Lodge is at stake more than Sukhu. In Nalagarh, Congress has fielded the former Chief Minister late. Virbhadra Singh’s close aide, Baba Hardeep, has been made the candidate. This is the reason why Congress state president Pratibha Singh, Deputy CM Mukesh Agnihotri, and PWD minister Vikramaditya Singh have put a lot of energy into the campaign in Nalagarh. Congress’s star campaigner, Sachin Pilot, will also campaign in Nalagarh today.

Leaders who have come from outside states for election campaigns will also have to leave the state by 5 p.m.

After 5 p.m. today, liquor shops, beer bars, hotels, and dhabas serving liquor will also have to be closed. They will not be allowed to open until the voting is over. Voting will be held in all three seats on the day after tomorrow, i.e., on July 10.
