DG Prisons and Correctional Services, Himachal Pradesh Sanjeev Ranjan Ojha said that 51 prisoners have been temporarily released on parole because of their good conduct. He said that parole is granted to prisoners after proper verification by the concerned district authorities, including the police, panchayat, and victims. It is aimed at enabling the convicts to stay in touch with their families and take care of their diverse responsibilities. This in turn helps them to correct their earlier deviant behavior and ensures their proper reintegration into society once their sentence is completed.
