A tragic road accident took place late Friday night on Pathankot-Bharmaur National Highway 154-A in Chamba, Himachal Pradesh. Two people died after a car fell into a ditch near Dayalu Bridge on the NH. Police have registered a case and started further action.
According to the information, there were four people in the car. Two of them died on the spot, while the seriously injured were referred to Chamba Medical College after giving first aid in Dalhousie.
The accident car number HP-39-A-7914 was being driven by Amit Kumar alias Lucky. Ashok Kumar, resident Lahad, Mahendra Singh Trittha village and Devraj Baitna village were riding in the car. Of these, Mahendra Kumar and Ashok Kumar died.
Reasons for the accident could not be known
Reasons for the accident have not been known yet. As soon as the local people heard the sound of the car falling, the police was also informed. After this, relief and rescue work was started. The bodies of the deceased were pulled out of the ditch at midnight and the injured were taken to Dalhousie Hospital.
The police have registered a case and started an investigation. The postmortem of the bodies of the deceased has been done and the bodies have been handed over to the relatives.
