Shimla: Two young boxers from Kinnaur performed brilliantly and won silver medals in the 38th National Boxing Championship held in Uttarakhand. Talented players Ashish Kumar and Vinakshi of JSW Boxing Shikhar Kendra brought laurels to Himachal Pradesh by winning silver medals in the 57 kg weight category.
Ashish Negi, a resident of Katgaon, has been representing India at the national and international level for the last 4 years. His achievements include participation in the Elorda Cup held in Astana, Kazakhstan, silver medal in the Senior National Games in Goa, gold medal in Khelo India University Games 2025 and All India University 2025.
To promote boxing in Kinnaur, JSW Company has established many training centers. Players coming out of these centers are proving their talent at the state, national and international level. This new success has created a wave of happiness in the entire Kinnaur district.
