Mandi: Police has arrested two accused who attacked Dhaba Owner in Pulgharat, Mandi . Both the accused are real brothers and are residents of UP. Both of them were working as a labourers in Himachal for a long time . Police has also recovered the pistol used in the crime from both of them. After committing the crime, they were staying in Nerchowk and roaming around freely.
The incident occurred on 20.03.2025, when Sh. Pradeep Guleria, aged 61, a resident of Dayadi, District Mandi, who runs a Dhaba named Royal Lass Kitchen near Pulgharat, was attacked.
In response to the severity of the crime, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) was formed headed by the Additional Superintendent of Police (LR), along with four other investigating teams.
On 24.03.2025, based on footage from various locations and dump data collected from the crime scene, two suspicious individuals were identified. These individuals were arrested by the police later that night. The suspects have been identified as:
1.Mohammad Azmal, son of Mohammad Aslam, aged 25 years, resident of House No. 260, Village and Post Office Sujaru, District Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh.
2.Azam, son of Mohammad Aslam, aged 19 years, resident of House No. 260, Village and Post Office Sujaru, District Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh.
Both suspects are brothers and had been residing as tenants in Village Dangu, Post Office Ratti, Tehsil Balh, District Mandi, for a significant period. They had been working in Mandi as aluminium fitters. The weapon used in the crime has also been recovered from their possession.
Both suspects have been arrested and will be presented in court today, following which police custody will be sought.
