Shimla, April 28: Police have arrested two drug smugglers in Shimla. This action was taken by Rampur police late at night. Police have arrested two more members of drug drug-smuggling Sonu gang. The arrested accused include Nikhil Negi of Kinnaur and Jagat Ram of Karsog. Police arrested them based on an investigation of bank accounts and other evidence.
DSP Naresh Sharma said that a total of 36 accused have been arrested in this case so far. These include people from Mandi, Shimla, Kullu and Punjab. Among the arrested accused, 3 are women and 2 are residents of Punjab.
Earlier on March 3, the police detection team had recovered 26.68 grams of heroin from Sohanlal and his wife, Geeta Shreshtha. The police have also obtained the remand of the accused Lakpa Dorje.
