The bodies of two ITI students who drowned in the Pin Parvati river near Larji in Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh were recovered on Friday morning at 7:00 am. In the presence of administration and police, the team of divers from SDRF and Sundarnagar took out the bodies of both students from the pond in the Parvati river in just 10 minutes.
After this, the police took both the bodies in their custody and sent them for post-mortem. The deceased have been identified as Dharmendra (18) son of Geetanand resident Murah Balachauki and Ghanshyam Singh (18) son of Dayaram resident Kahra Balichowki.
According to the information, both the students studying in ITI Thalaut had come for internship in the Electricity Board located in Larji on Thursday. During this, they went into the river to take a bath. But due to the depth of water in a corner of the river, both of them drowned.
Guddu Ram Thakur, Pradhan of Gram Panchayat Larji and Sher Singh Negi, in-charge of Fire Department Larji, said that a joint team of divers and SDRF has recovered the bodies of both the missing students who drowned in the Parvati river. DSP Banjar Sher Singh said that a post-mortem of the bodies of both students is being conducted, after which they will be handed over to their families.
