Una stands forefront in National fight against drug abuse

Various ideologies have contributed cooperatively to implementing the drug-free Una campaign against drug abuse on the ground.

Una: Una district has made the best effort in the entire country in the implementation of the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights’s (NCPC’s)  joint action plan against drug abuse. Una district was awarded this award on June 30 at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi.

Una Governor Jatin Lal received this award from the hands of Union Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai. Una Governor Jatin Lal said that Una district was awarded for being first in the implementation of the joint action plan against drug abuse. He said that this award has received extensive cooperation from various aspects of the district.

Various ideologies have contributed cooperatively to implementing the drug-free Una campaign against drug abuse on the ground. He said that the drug-free Una campaign was implemented in the district under a pilot project, which has shown positive results.

Under the Nasha Mukt Una Abhiyan, various programs related to skills and life development were organized at the school and teacher level to make children and youth aware of drug abuse. 26 thousand students were included, and about 247 teachers and school heads were also trained. He said that the main objective of this program was to highlight the emotions and mental health of the students and to keep them away from intoxicating thoughts so that they stay away from drugs.

The patron thanked the people of the district for joining the Nasha Mukt Una Abhiyan and hoped that in the future, those who join the leadership of the district administration will cooperate in making the district drug-free.
