Himachal Pradesh: In Una district of Himachal Pradesh 82 homes were burnt and turned in ashes, near the Swan river in Ghaluwal. 55 families from other states have become homeless due to this terrible fire. These families have suffered a loss of lakhs of rupees in this incident. Along with the huts and huts of these people, food items, utensils for cooking and eating, clothes and bedding along with other valuables were also burnt to ashes. The migrant laborers tried their best to extinguish the fire, but within no time everything was reduced to ashes.
Immediately people called up the fire brigade, the vehicles of Una fire station along with the team reached at the spot. A vehicle from fire post Tahliwal was also called to the spot. Fire workers had to face a lot of trouble to control the fire.
Fire personnelr rescued 40 to 45 huts from the fire. The fire personnel who rendered their services in the fire incident included front firefighters Subhash Chand and Jaipal, firefighters Happy, driver Munish Kumar and Tahliwal vehicle firefighters Kayaram, Ashwani Kumar, Anil Kumar and driver Jagdev Chand. District Fire Officer Nitin Dhiman said that the families of migrant laborers have suffered a loss of around Rs 2 lakh in the fire that broke out on the banks of Ghaluwal Swan river. 82 huts were gutted in the fire, while 52 huts were saved safely by the fire brigade.
SDM Haroli Rajiv Thakur visited the accident site to sympathize with the victims of the fire in Ghaluwal. The administration has made arrangements for all other necessary services including food and accommodation for the affected families. Four people injured in the accident were taken to Una Hospital for treatment.
