The Vice President is going to Shimla and Solan on a three-day tour on June 5. He will stay at Rashtrapati Niwas Chharabra. After staying in Shimla on June 5 and 6, he will be the chief guest at the Samvad program to be held at Nauni University, Solan on June 7. There he will interact with students and faculty. The Shimla and Solan administration have completed all the preparations for the proposed visit of the Vice President. Police and other agencies have increased vigilance in view of his security.

Dr. Y.S. Vice Chancellor of Parmar Horticulture and Forestry University Nauni, Dr. Rajeshwar Singh Chandel said that Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar will interact with the students for about two hours at the university on June 7. In Chandigarh, he will visit GMCH-32, Punjab Raj Bhavan and PGI. Keeping their safety in mind, traffic will be stopped or diverted on some roads of the city.
