The case of the death of Himachal Pradesh Power Corporation Chief Engineer Vimal Negi was heard again in the High Court today. The bench of Justice Ajay Mohan Goyal issued a notice to the government and asked it to file a status report in this case. Now this matter will be heard on May 20.
Let us tell you that only yesterday Vimal Negi’s family has filed a petition in the High Court. The family has requested to hand over the investigation of this case to the central agency CBI. This petition has been filed by Vimal Negi’s wife Kiran Negi.
Vimal Negi’s brother SC Negi said that he has no faith in the police investigation at all. Vimal Negi was missing since March 10, while his death has been reported to be three days in the postmortem. In such a situation, the police could not find out where he was for three days.
He told that after Desraj’s bail was rejected by the High Court, the police did not arrest him. When Director Desraj reached the Supreme Court for anticipatory bail, no lawyer from the Himachal government stood up to oppose his bail in the Supreme Court. When Vimal Negi’s body was found, the family members were not called to the spot. They said that they have no faith in the police investigation at all.

Let us tell you that the family members of Chief Vimal Negi accused Power Corporation MD Harikesh Meena, Director Desraj and another director Shivam Pratap Singh of harassment. After the family members demonstrated outside the Power Corporation office on March 19 with Vimal Negi’s body, the police filed an FIR against Director Desraj in the New Shimla Police Station. Apart from this, an FIR was also filed against the MD and Director Personnel. After this, police investigation is going on.
