Shimla: Western disturbance is getting active again in Himachal Pradesh. Its effect will be visible for the next 4 days. According to the Meteorological Department, there are chances of rain in the high altitude areas tomorrow and day after tomorrow (16th and 17th April). But on 18th and 19th April, there will be rain in most parts of the state.
Heavy rain warning has been issued especially for 19th April. During this period, an alert has also been issued for hailstorm, thunderstorm and storm in some areas. Today, the weather is forecast to be clear in the entire state.
The temperature of many cities increased by 11 degrees during 24 hours
There was a huge drop in temperature after rain and snowfall in the state 2 days ago. But during the last 24 hours, it has risen by 5.2 degrees Celsius. Kalpa’s temperature has recorded the highest increase of 10.6 degrees in the last 24 hours and the maximum temperature here has reached 19.2 degrees Celsius.
The temperature of Manali reached 22.8 degrees after a rise of 8.1 degrees, Keylong reached 16.7 degrees with a rise of 7.2 degrees, the maximum temperature of Shimla reached 23.2 degrees with a rise of 6.6 degrees and Solan reached 28 degrees Celsius with an increase of 7.8 degrees.
39 percent less rain than normal in post winter season
The state has received 39 percent less rainfall than normal in the post-winter season. According to the Meteorological Department, the normal rainfall in the state is 140.4 mm between March 1 and April 12, but this time only 86 mm of rain has fallen. Mandi is the only district in the state where the rainfall has been 5 percent more than normal. All other districts have received less rainfall than normal.
