Chamba: A shocking incident took place in Mughala Mohalla of Chamba, where a woman allegedly killed her husband by beating him with a stick. the tragic incident occurred on Wednesday night following a heated argument between the couple.
Violent disputeturns fatal
The victim, Kewal ram, and his wife Hemlata, reportedly got into an argument that escalated to violence. In a fit of rage, Hemlata attacked her husband with a stick. inflicting severe injuries on his body. Reports indicate that his finger was also broken during the assault.
On Thursday morning, Hemlata left Kewal at home in an injured state and went to work. Later, Kewal asked neighbours for water before returning to his room to sleep. His son was also away for work at that time.
Police arrested accused
Concerned villagers informed the police about the violent altercation in the afternoon. Upon arriving at the scene, the police found Kewal Ram lying unconscious. He was rushed to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
Confirming the development, SP Chamba Abhishek yadav stated that the police have taken Hemlata into custody and initiated an investigation into the matter. The victim’s body will be handed over to the family after postmortem examination.
Authorities are now probing the circumstances that led to the fatal altercation. Further details willl emerge as investigation is underway.
