Shimla: Simmi Agnihotri, Wife of Deputy CM Himachal Pradesh Mukesh Agnihotri passed away yesterday late night. Deputy CM last night shared information about demise of his wife on his social media account. He wrote, “Our dear Professor Simmi Agnihotri left us and Aastha.” As per reports, Simmi Agnihotri passed away due to cardiac arrest.
As per the information received, her health suddenly deteriorated at her on Friday. Following which she was given medical aid. Seeing her critical condition, she was taken to Chandigarh late in the evening but passed away enroute to the hospital.
Cremation today at 2 pm
Mortal remains of Prof Simmi Agnihotri will be kept at private residence Aastha Kunj village Gondpur Jaichand till 1:00 pm. The last rites will be performed at 02:00 pm at Moksh Dham Gondpur Jaichand (Haroli).

Simmi Agnihotri, wife of Himachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister was professor in Himachal Pradesh University and was giving her services in Public Administration Department. She had long experience in the field spanning over 25 years.
Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge expressed grief
Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge on passing away of Simmi Agnihotri said, “The news of the demise of Professor Simmi Agnihotri, wife of Himachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Shri Mukesh Agnihotri ji, is very sad. I express my condolences to the bereaved family and pray for the peace of the departed soul. May God provide strength to the bereaved family to bear this loss.”
