Women candidates in Himachal will also have to pay application fee for jobs

During the disbanded Staff Selection Commission, Hamirpur, an application fee of Rs 360 was being charged from the general category, which has now been increased to Rs 400.

Himachal Pradesh State Selection Commission, Hamirpur, has issued its first recruitment notification. The application fee has been made public by uploading it on the commission’s website. The fee has been fixed at Rs 400 for the general category and Rs 325 for reserved categories, while the exemption in application fee for female candidates has been abolished. Earlier, the state government was giving an exemption in the application to women. Women could apply for free, but now women will have to pay the application fee according to their category.

During the disbanded Staff Selection Commission, Hamirpur, an application fee of Rs 360 was being charged from the general category, which has now been increased to Rs 400. Earlier, an application fee of Rs 120 was charged from the reserved category, which has now been increased to Rs 325. In such a situation, applying for government jobs has become expensive to some extent through the State Selection Commission. However, the commission is now working towards making the recruitment process completely online.

All the recruitments through the commission will now be done on the basis of Computer Based Test (CBT). In such a situation, there is a possibility of increase in expenditure in the recruitment process by the commission. Earlier, on a pilot basis, the commission had to pay more than Rs 35 lakh to the outsourced agency in the OTA examination. In such a situation, now the commission has increased the application fee. Now all the recruitments will be done through outsourced agency. For which the process of signing MoU of the state government with CDAC company is going on.
