Barsar: A youth has died under suspicious circumstances in the drug de-addiction centre running in Dhabdiana Panchayat under sub-division Barsar. The deaths of youth are also linked to the murder. It is said that the youth was beaten up a day before. However, it is not clear whether the youth died due to the assault or whether the cause of death was something else. To clarify the cause of death, the police and forensic team reached the spot on Sunday and collected evidence. The body has been sent for a post-mortem. The exact cause of death will be known only after the post-mortem. At present, many kinds of speculations are being made. According to the information, a case of murder of a youth, who is said to be from the Bhoranj area, has come to light in the drug de-addiction centre Bani, established under the Dhabdiana Panchayat of sub-division Barsar.
Amit Chauhan (27), a resident of Gram Panchayat Tikkar Kalan, Bhoranj, was undergoing treatment at this drug de-addiction centre for a long time. When he died under suspicious circumstances, Badsar police and a forensic team reached out to find out the cause of death, after which a case of murder was registered. District Police Chief Bhagat Singh, SDPO Badsar IPS Sachin Hiremath, and Badsar Police Station Incharge Praveen Rana reached the spot and investigated. Police got information about the incident at five in the morning, although it is said that the incident happened late in the evening. The victims of the de-addiction centre noted that the de-addiction centre operators beat them up.
