UP drug supplier arrests from Manali:

8.4 grams of Heroin recovered, accused hails from Kanpur, lived in a rented room

Kullu: A youth from Uttar Pradesh has been arrested in the tourist city of Manali on charges of smuggling the drug Heroin. A case has been registered against the accused under the NDPS Act.

According to the information, Head Constable Jagdish Kumar of Manali police station was on patrol with his team. During this, information was received from the informer that a youth is doing the business of selling chitta in the building of a person named Pawandev near Car Wash in the market.

Due to which the police team went to the spot and searched the room of the said youth, then a packet was found inside the room, which had a knot. When the police checked it, 8.4 grams of Heroin was found inside the packet.

DSP Manali KD Sharma said that the youth who has been arrested on charges of chitta smuggling has been identified as 19-year-old Mohammad Javed son of Mohammad Sabir resident of village Dhanirampur district Kanpur Dehat, Uttar Pradesh.

He said that the investigation of the case has been handed over to Head Constable Jagdish Kumar. Police have currently registered a case in Manali police station under section 21 of the NDPS Act.
