History-sheeter murdered in broad daylight in Prayagraj, CCTV footage reveals

New Delhi: History-sheeter Saksham Panda (35) was shot dead on Thursday morning in the Mutthiganj area of ​​Prayagraj. The attackers first called him out of his house and spoke. When Saksham returned home a short time later, the miscreants on a scooter attacked him.

According to the police, Saksham was standing on the stairs of his house when he was shot from behind by assailants. He ran into the street to save his life, but the assailants pursued him and shot him again about 50 meters away. After he fell to the ground, three more bullets were fired at him in quick succession.

Family members rushed to the scene upon hearing the gunshots, but by then the accused had fled. The injured Saksham was taken to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

CCTV footage of the incident has also surfaced. The video shows two assailants on a scooter approaching Saksham and then firing at him. The assailants then chase him and shoot again.

Police have arrested one of the accused, Bhole Punjabi, in the case. During interrogation, the accused revealed that Saksham had set his puja stall on fire a day earlier, and the two had quarreled over this dispute.

Saksham Panda used to perform rituals at the ghats and had several criminal cases registered against him. His family says he was also attacked a few months ago, and several people, including Bhole Punjabi, were booked.
