Hoshiarpur Police busts major Inter-State Drug & Arms Module, 9.9 Kg Heroin & Foreign Pistols recovered

In a major breakthrough, District Hoshiarpur Police busted an inter-state/foreign-linked narcotics racket and an illegal arms module. The information was shared by Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav on an X post.

Hoshiarpur Police apprehended four accused. The team also recovered 9.925 kg of heroin, 2 foreign-made pistols, 8 magazines, and 40 live cartridges from the accused.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the accused were acting as local handlers of foreign-based gangsters and were involved in drug trafficking and supply of illegal weapons.

An FIR has been registered at PS Garhshankar, Hoshiarpur. Further investigation is underway to establish forward and backward linkages and dismantle the entire network.

DGP Yadav assured that Punjab Police remains firmly committed to a zero-tolerance policy against drugs, illegal arms, and organised crime.
