Hotel Raid Takes Dramatic Turn as Couple Ties Knot Outside Police Station

Garhwa (Jharkhand): A unique incident came to light during a police crackdown on illegal hotel activities, where a couple got married on the road.

Acting on intelligence, police raided several hotels in the district—including Tiwari Inn, SNC, and RDS. During the raid, more than a dozen couples were found in compromising positions. They, along with hotel staff and operators, were detained and brought to the police station.

Marriage on the Road with Family’s Consent
During questioning, some couples revealed that they were adults, consensual, and were about to get married soon. Following this, the police called their families.

Meanwhile, a couple, with the consent of their families, decided to get married immediately and exchanged garlands on the road outside the police station. Bystanders filmed the incident and made it viral on social media.

Three couples gave written assurances
Meanwhile, three other couples gave written assurances to marry soon. Police released them after completing the investigation and documentation process.

Action taken against hotels, investigation ongoing
Police have filed cases against the hotel owners and managers for promoting illegal activities. Some individuals have been sent to judicial custody.

SNC, RDS, and Tiwari hotels have also been sealed. According to police officials, this action is part of a campaign against immoral trafficking and illegal activities, and an investigation into the entire network is ongoing.
