HPCL Plant Murder Case: Accused Ajay Pratap Singh’s illegal properties razed in Badaun

Taking strict action against Ajay Pratap Singh, the prime accused in the high-profile HPCL plant murder case in Badaun, the administration deployed bulldozers on Tuesday morning to demolish his illegal structures located in Sainjani village. During this operation, led by the Dataganj Tehsil administration, six shops belonging to the accused were demolished.

Administrative activity in Sainjani village intensified early Tuesday morning. A revenue team, led by the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) of Dataganj, along with a heavy police force, was deployed to the site to handle any potential untoward incidents. As soon as the demolition drive began, crowds gathered in the surrounding area; however, the police maintained control over the situation by establishing a security cordon.

According to administrative officials, the shops belonging to the accused, Ajay Pratap Singh, had been constructed illegally, and the Public Works Department (PWD) had previously issued notices regarding them. The demolition action was carried out after the accused failed to provide a satisfactory response or submit the required documents in accordance with regulations.

It is noteworthy that the administration has adopted a completely strict stance following the double murder that took place at the HPCL plant in Sainjani village. Since the incident occurred, investigations into the properties of the accused have been conducted alongside the initiation of legal proceedings against them.

On March 12, Deputy General Manager Sudhir Kumar Gupta and Assistant Chief Manager Harshit Mishra were shot dead at this plant, located in Sainjani within the jurisdiction of the Musajhag police station. The accused, Ajay Pratap Singh, subsequently went to the police station on his own and surrendered.
