Himachal Pradesh State Cooperative Bank to Suspend Digital Banking Services from July 17 to 22 for CBS Upgrade

Shimla: The Himachal Pradesh State Cooperative Bank (HPSCB) will temporarily suspend major banking and digital banking services for nearly five days, from 5:00 pm on July 17 until 10:00 am on July 22, as it migrates to the Finacle Core Banking Solution (CBS) under the NABARD Umbrella Project.

The temporary suspension is part of a planned technology upgrade aimed at enhancing banking services, improving security, and providing customers with a more robust digital banking experience.

Banking and Digital Services to Remain Unavailable

According to a public notice issued by the bank, customers will not be able to access several banking services during the migration period.

The services that will remain unavailable include:

    • Branch banking services
    • ATM transactions
    • Internet banking
    • Mobile banking
    • UPI
    • IMPS
    • NEFT
    • RTGS
    • RuPay debit card services
    • Aadhaar Enabled Payment System (AEPS)
    • Other Core Banking Solution (CBS)-dependent services

Migration to Finacle CBS Under NABARD Project

HPSCB said it is upgrading from its existing Core Banking Solution to Finacle CBS Version 10.2.25 under the NABARD Umbrella Project, which aims to modernise cooperative banks across the country.

The bank said the migration is expected to strengthen cybersecurity, improve operational efficiency, and offer customers a better and more secure banking experience.

Customers Advised to Complete Transactions in Advance

The bank has urged customers to plan their banking activities in advance and complete all urgent financial transactions before the maintenance window begins to avoid inconvenience.

HPSCB also expressed regret over the temporary disruption and assured customers that every effort would be made to complete the migration within the scheduled timeline and restore all services at the earliest.

Customers requiring assistance during the maintenance period have been advised to contact their nearest HPSCB branch or the bank’s customer care.

    HPSCB Continues Digital Transformation

Earlier this year, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu appreciated the bank’s performance and its efforts to expand technology-driven banking services while continuing to support public welfare initiatives.

The Chief Minister noted that HPSCB has played an important role in implementing various state government schemes, including the e-Taxi Scheme, ensuring timely delivery of financial benefits.

Meanwhile, HPSCB Managing Director Shravan Manta said the bank has consistently strengthened its financial position, expanded its branch network, and adopted digital banking solutions to improve customer convenience.
