    HRTC bus rams into truck in Sonipat: 15 injured, 2 seriously hurt

    Shimla, August 19: A Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) bus met with an accident in Haryana’s Sonipat this morning. 15 passengers were injured in this. The injured were brought to Sonipat hospital for treatment. Seven to eight passengers have been discharged from the hospital after bandaging, while seven injured are still admitted in Sonipat hospital.

    According to the information, this accident occurred at around 4:45 am today. HRTC bus number 37-2260 was going from Palampur in Kangra district to Delhi and collided with a truck going ahead while passing through the Bahalgarh flyover.

    There were 38 passengers on board at the time of the accident

    There were 38 passengers in the bus at the time of the accident. Some of these passengers had boarded the bus from different stations in Haryana. Bus conductor Sanjeev said that a truck was moving ahead of the bus. The truck driver suddenly applied the brakes. After this, the bus collided with the truck.

    One woman and one man were seriously injured 

    He said that one woman and one man have slightly more serious injuries. All of them are undergoing treatment at Sonipat Hospital. He said, the passengers who were completely safe left for Delhi in other HRTC buses.

    This bus left from Palampur at 2.30 pm on Monday afternoon.
