Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann Launches ‘Hunar Punjab Portal’ to Facilitate Employment

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab government has launched the ‘Hunar Punjab Portal’ to provide employment opportunities to the youth based on their qualifications. Additionally, a financial incentive module has been introduced on the ‘Fast Track Punjab Portal’. Officials stated at the launch event that a total of four modules are being developed under this initiative.

The ‘Hunar Punjab Portal’ brings approximately 1,750 training institutes from across the state onto a single platform. These include IT institutes, polytechnics, medical colleges, and universities. Its primary objective is to establish a direct link between industry requirements and the skills possessed by the youth.

A key benefit of this portal is that industries will be able to access information in one place regarding the courses offered at various institutes across Punjab and the number of students undergoing training there. Based on this information, companies can contact the relevant institutes according to their needs, thereby creating employment opportunities for trained youth.

While providing details about the portal, officials explained that industries would be able to view information regarding available courses and students through their login accounts. Subsequently, they can send requests to the relevant institutes based on their requirements. In turn, the institutes will be able to connect trained students with employment opportunities. This system will establish a direct connection, enabling industries to access trained manpower and helping youth secure jobs suited to their skills.

Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann said that Punjab has attracted investments worth ₹1.89 lakh crore in the last four years creating employment opportunities for 6.31 lakh youth. This reflects the growing investor confidence in Punjab. Hunar Punjab is a single platform for youth talent, networking, and access to employment. The Punjab government is working towards the full implementation of all four modules, with end-to-end processes, separate user logins, and departmental monitoring of talent management and placement, training, and support at the Punjab level
