Rajasthan Road Accident: 6 of Family Killed in Churu, 9-Month-Old Baby Critical

Churu, Rajasthan: Six people, including five members of the same family, were killed after a car rammed into a truck in Rajasthan’s Churu district on Saturday morning. A nine-month-old girl was critically injured in the accident.

The family was travelling to Gurugram in Haryana to visit their family deity, Gurgaon Wali Mata, for the mundan ceremony of two children when the accident took place around 8:30 am in Dadreva village near Sadulpur.

According to the details reported, the car hit a truck moving ahead of it. The impact was so severe that most of the occupants died at the spot. The car driver was also among those killed.

The deceased have been identified as Bhanwar Lal Sharma, 60, his wife Mahendra Devi, 55, his daughter-in-law Kavita, 28, and Yashoda, 34, along with the children Kanhaiya and the driver, Mangilal Nai, 31. The injured girl, Divyanshi, is Yashoda’s daughter and remains in critical condition.

Family Had Left for Gurugram Early in the Morning

The family had planned the trip to Gurugram for the mundan ceremony of Kanhaiya and Divyanshi at their family deity’s shrine.

Bhanwar Lal’s younger brother, Mangilal, reached Sadulpur after learning about the accident. Recalling his last conversation with his elder brother, he said they had met on the afternoon of October 23 while he was on his way to his farm.

During their conversation, Bhanwar Lal told him that the family would travel to Gurugram to visit Gurgaon Wali Mata for the children’s ceremony.

The family left early on Saturday morning. Mangilal said he did not get another chance to meet his brother before the journey.

Six Dead, Baby Battles for Life

Eyewitnesses said they heard a loud bang when the car collided with the truck. The accident claimed six lives, leaving the family and their relatives in shock.

The critically injured child is receiving medical attention. Further details about her condition were not immediately available.

The accident has left the family devastated, turning a journey planned for a religious ceremony into a tragedy.
