Husband kills wife with axe in Ludhiana

A domestic dispute between a husband and wife in Ludhiana’s New Sant Nagar area of ​​Haibowal turned bloody as the husband killed his wife with an axe. The police have registered a case under the murder section against the accused. In a statement given to the police, deceased Guddi’s 34-year-old daughter Rinki said that her mother had married thrice. About four years ago, she got a court marriage with a person named Manoj Kumar. The two had been at odds since the marriage.

According to Rinki, Manoj, and Guddi often fought over the fact that they did not have any children of their own. He also doubted Guddi’s character and threatened to kill her. On the morning of December 20, the dispute escalated to such an extent that Manoj attacked her mother with a sharp axe kept in the house. During the attack, Guddi suffered deep wounds in her stomach, and even her intestines were opened.

Daughter Rinki received information that her parents were admitted to the Civil Hospital in an injured condition. When she reached, she came to know that her mother had died. Manoj was also injured during the attack. Based on the statement of the deceased’s daughter, Rinki, the Haibowal police station has registered a case against the accused Manoj Kumar under Section 103 BNS (murder).

Preliminary investigation reveals that the case is related to domestic violence and suspicion. The accused is currently undergoing treatment in the hospital. Further investigation is being done based on the medical reports and statements. The accused will be arrested as soon as he recovers.
