Fire Breaks Out in Hyderabad Building, 50 Students Rescued

Hyderabad: A major fire broke out on 20 February 2026 at a multi-storey building in Ameerpet, which houses several coaching institutes, triggering panic among students and staff.

Thick smoke and flames were seen emanating from the building, prompting immediate action by emergency services.

Firefighters Rush to Rescue Students

Firefighters from the Hyderabad Fire Services rushed to the scene and carried out evacuation and rescue operations. About 50 students trapped inside the building were successfully brought out to safety.

Several students were treated on the spot for smoke inhalation and minor injuries and later taken to nearby hospitals as a precaution.

 Fire Under Control, Investigation Underway

The fire was brought under control after several hours of tireless work by firefighters using multiple fire tenders.

Officials said efforts are underway to determine the cause of the fire, with police and fire department investigators examining the site for clues.

No casualties have been reported so far, but authorities are assessing the extent of damage to the building structure and interiors.
