Imran Khan Moved to Islamabad Hospital Following Supreme Court Direction

Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has been shifted from prison to a hospital in Islamabad following an order from the country’s Supreme Court, his Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party said.

The 73-year-old politician, who has been dealing with several health issues, including an eye-related condition, was transferred to Shifa International Hospital for medical treatment.

Khan’s medical condition has remained a concern for his party, which has repeatedly sought better healthcare facilities for the former premier during his imprisonment.

His hospitalisation comes days after the Supreme Court issued directions regarding his access to medical care. Khan continues to remain in custody in connection with multiple cases and remains a major political figure in Pakistan.
