Ruckus over fake eggs in Ludhiana, rubber forms on boiling

Ludhiana: In Ludhiana, Punjab, there is a lot of ruckus over fake Desi eggs. Fake eggs are being supplied in the city. The matter has come to light in a shop near the bus stand. When the customer bought eggs from the shop and boiled them at home, they started stretching like rubber.

The customer immediately complained to the shopkeeper about the eggs being spoiled.

At first, the shopkeeper did not agree that the eggs were spoiled, but when the protest increased, he started talking about returning the money for the eggs. But the customer complained about the shopkeeper to the Health Department. After that, the Health Department raided the shop and took samples of the eggs.

Giving information, customer Neeraj told me that his nephew had bought eggs from Zone Food three days ago. The shopkeeper sold them by calling them Desi eggs. When he boiled the eggs, peeled them, and started eating them, they became rubber (synthetic). The eggs kept getting longer when pulled. When the eggs were shown to the employees working at the shop, they did not give any answers at first. An egg was peeled in front of the shopkeeper and his employees; it also turned out to be made of rubber.

The employee said that the eggs are bad; you can take back the money for the eggs. The customer said that people’s health is being played with by selling synthetic eggs on the market. The eggs were also stinking a lot.

Neeraj told me that the chicken was also being prepared badly inside the shop. Many animals are kept dead. When this matter was complained about to the health department, they took samples from the shop.

When the health department took samples, the eggs did not break even after falling on the ground. If an omelette is made from these eggs, then no one can know that the eggs are bad.

In this case, DHO Ripudaman Kaur said that checking had been done at the shop. Egg and chicken samples have been sent to Kharar Lab for testing. Action will be taken after the report comes.
