Income tax dept raids at several locations in Ludhiana; Investigation of real estate, showrooms continues

The Income Tax Department’s action is ongoing in Ludhiana today. The department’s teams raided the places of many real estate businessmen yesterday. As soon as they got the information, many businessmen left.

According to sources, this raid is being conducted in cases related to the purchase and sale of big properties. The action continued at NK Mobile showroom located near Mata Rani Chowk till 11 pm on Tuesday. Local police remained deployed for security outside the showroom.

The Income Tax Department team scrutinized the documents related to the purchase and sale of businessmen and many documents have been seized for further investigation. According to the officials, the investigation is still going on. Nothing can be said at the moment. Officials say that illegal property worth lakhs is expected to come to light in this investigation.

The department’s teams have simultaneously raided the places of four real estate businessmen on Tuesday. During the raid, the police have made strict security arrangements. Some employees of the businessmen were also questioned.

The bank accounts of these businessmen are being thoroughly investigated. The data fed into the computers was also scrutinized. Income tax teams have raided the establishments of Jandu Property, NK Wine, Vinay Singal, Chetan Jain, and Rana Property. According to sources, this raid may be completed by Wednesday evening.
