Mullanpur: The long wait of cricket lovers will end today (Sunday). On Sunday, Yadavindra Cricket Stadium, Mullanpur is hosting an international match for the first time. An exciting one-day match will be played between India and Australia women’s teams from 1:30 pm. Entry to the stadium will begin at 12:30 pm. It has been raining heavily in Chandigarh and nearby areas since 5:30 am and the roads were flooded in no time. The heavy rain that was falling since morning has stopped at 8 am. But the sky is still cloudy.
Played T20 World Cup in Mohali in 2016
Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur said that she is very excited to play an international match in her home state after 9 years. She recalled that she last played the T20 World Cup in Mohali in 2016. Harman said that India’s performance is constantly improving and defeating England in its home is proof of this. On seven consecutive defeats against Australia, she said that the team is full of confidence and the players are working hard.
No flying zone declared
Mohali District Magistrate-cum-Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal has declared Yadavindra Cricket Stadium and surrounding area as no-drone and no-flying zone. The administration has issued a traffic advisory so that the spectators do not face any inconvenience.

From the south route : Turn left from the Mullanpur-Chandigarh barrier and go to Baddi-Kurali Road. Turn left near Omaxe Ship Building and take PR-7 (Airport Road). Then turn left from Airport Road and reach Stadium Road.
Alternate route: Turn left from Mullanpur-Chandigarh barrier and continue on Baddi-Kurali road. Turn left near Eco City-1 Township and take PR-6 road to reach Stadium Road.
