New Delhi: Haryana Congress leaders, including Members of Parliament (MPs), Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) and senior party functionaries, gathered at the residence of former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda in New Delhi on Monday ahead of the INDIA bloc’s protest march towards the Supreme Court.

The leaders assembled to discuss their strategy before joining the opposition alliance’s demonstration against alleged electoral irregularities. The INDIA bloc has demanded the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar and called on citizens across the country to join the protest.

Haryana Congress Leaders Call for Opposition Unity

Speaking to reporters, Congress MLA Manju Choudhary said the opposition parties had stepped up their agitation against the BJP-led central government under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi.

“The entire Opposition has surrounded the BJP Government. Rahul Gandhi led numerous protests. CJP and others protested on the 10th. Today, the entire Congress party will protest,” Choudhary said.

She added that Congress members had been instructed to maintain unity during the demonstration. Choudhary also called for the removal of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, saying, “We have been instructed to stand united. We will have Gyanesh Kumar removed from his position.”
